“It’s for the blog, it’s for the blog,” I would joke to my friends as I annoyed them with my note taking and photos. The idea of actually having a blog was always just a passing thought while on my travels. Then I pondered, “why should it be just a thought?”
I take notes and pictures during my trips to document and remember the places I’ve been (and because I am a tad obsessed with taking photos. Seriously. Ask my friends). After my trips I make photo books for my family as an amazing gift and as a beautiful memory for myself and my children. What better way to accomplish all of those things in one spot than with a blog?!!
I started looking into it and (sort of impulsively) went for it. This is how Tanya Travel Adventures was born. Ta-dahhhh! I am very excited about my decision to start a blog, but I am sort of terrified at the same time. I’m not the best writer nor am I a “professional” traveler. I also know nothing about website building and design. I’m a full-time working mom based in Arizona who loves to travel the world. I am also not used to being very open and vulnerable with people I don’t know well. While this blog is more of a passion project that acts as a journal of my thoughts and experiences, my hope is that this will also be the beginning of a positive personal transformation.
I hope that you will bear with me and the rookie mistakes I am sure to make with blogging (and even traveling). But more than anything, I hope that my posts will give you some laughs, some inspiration to get out there and maybe even some helpful tips/advice for your future travels.
Thanks for stopping by and feel free to say hello or leave a comment!
